It's the president's fault

A white supremacist group held a permitted protest against the removal of a historical statue in Charlottesville. Counter protestors showed up, armed with sticks, rocks balloons filled with urine. The mayor told the police to stand down so the leftists started attacking. Then the mayor called off the permitted protest, which had been peaceful, and demanded the people leave.

All hell broke loose and some idiot decides to drive his car through the crowds, killing 1 and injuring more.

The left blames Trump and is slamming him for saying the bigotry & hatred must stop from "many sides". Apparently, his failure to specifically call out the perpetrators is a reason for impeachment but they had no such concerns when Obama failed to condemn the actions of the black lives matter movement.

If you look at the facts, from eye witnesses at the scene, it's obvious that both sides were involved but the reports indicate the violence was started by the left. That's what the media failed to tell us. What they refuse to acknowledge. Because that doesn't fit their narrative that Trump supporters are the violent ones.

If Trump is responsible for the actions of this one lunatic that drove through the crowd, then Obama is equally responsible for the violence instigated by BLM, the violence against Trump supporters, the attacks on police, etc.

People are responsible for their own actions. Stop blaming the president for the stupidity of others.

Boston University Professor Teaching Hatred?

So, this Boston University professor has taken to twitter to tell the world that the problems of the school are caused by white people.
Her tweets make it clear to me that she has no business being in a position with influence over the minds of students. She should never be allowed to teach anywhere with her hate mongering attitude.
This is what is wrong with America. Too many liberal professors forcing their opinions on our kids who are, quite frankly, not yet smart enough to form their own intelligent thoughts.
And, yes, I know these are college kids. I stand by my statement. Most are not smart enough to be on their own yet due to the horrendous job being done by the public schools in parts of the country.

Double standards & hypocrites

The owner of the Urban Bean coffee shop has declared that Trump supporters are not welcome in his store, or even his social media page for that matter. Once again the "tolerant" liberals show their true colors by refusing to do business with people they disagree with.

Wait, isn't that just like the Christian bakers that refused to bake a cake for a gay couple? The liberals were irate about that and the bakery owners were sued & had to pay "damages".

Seems very hypocritical to me. Why is it OK to discriminate against one group of people but not another? Typical liberal policy. Can't debate what you don't like, just ban them, or accuse them of racism.

I'm all for small business but I hope this guy's store goes under. He doesn't deserve to be successful if he's going to act like the intolerant bigot that he claims Trump is.

Tried to add the link but it kept saying access was denied.

Black man kills cop, then self, people still blame cops

So, a 17 year old gang member, that had recently been charged as an adult for other offenses ran from a cop, killed the cop, then killed himself...and there are folks that still insinuate this is the cops fault.

I guess if the cop had just let the criminal go this wouldn't have happened, until the next time he gets stopped and a different cop gets the same treatment. At least in this case, this jackass had the good sense to off himself in the process.

This "advocate" claims they have been trying to talk to police about the way young black men are treated. Maybe they should talk to the young black men about how they treat other people.

I used to enjoy black history month

But the entitlement generation of today has ruined that for me.

I used to enjoy hearing about the history of the world and what happened to bring us to where we are today...but then I see videos like this and I think "who the hell do you think you are?".

MTV decided to show us what would happen if there was no black history month. What they actually did was make it appear that the world would be nothing without black people. Um, yeah...that's a good way to get white people to take your grievances seriously. Tell us we're nothing without you...even though the folks complaining the most have contributed the least.

Pretty far stretch to say there wouldn't be any technological or medical advances if it hadn't been for black people. No country music without black people? No colorful and "exciting" clothes? If your plan was to drive a deeper wedge between whites & blacks, you've done it.

Comments on the video range from support to indifference to accusations. Sadly, the white folks that are voicing their support are being attacked because they either need to stop trying to appropriate the black culture or they just don't understand what black people go through. Say what? People are trying to support your cause and all you can do is try to make them feel guilty for things they had nothing to do with?

Responses like this, which make up the majority of the comments I see, make me lose all respect for people that claim racism & discrimination. Why is it always the black people that are oppressed by white people? You think singling us out and stereotyping us into one group isn't racist? It is and stop trying to say it's not. Everyone can experience racism. That's not a term exclusive to black people.

You segregate yourselves by creating mass numbers of black only organizations. When an organization only allows white members, that's racist but you don't think it's the same when the colors are turned around? Wrong! It's no different. Well, except that a white organization will eventually be forced to allow all races or they'll be sued and shut down. That never happens with black organizations. Explain how that's not racist?

If you want change, then work for it. Go to college. Become a member of a party that can change education materials. Make laws to ensure fair treatment. Stop the hatred and violent protests against people that had nothing to do with where your life is right now. You are responsible for your life. Not your parents, teachers, friends, the government. You may face challenges with those entities but they do not define you. You make your choices and whining about how nobody understands you and life isn't fair will get you nothing.

The white, conservative, christian terrorists

As we've all heard, Sweet Cakes bakery was fined over $100,000 for mental anguish that they supposedly caused a lesbian couple when they refused to make their wedding cake. They were apparently so consumed by mental anguish that they were unable to even call any of the 40+ other bakeries in the Portland, OR area. Why, there's even a link to that expansive list on the Sweet Cakes bakery home page. How nice of them to assist someone that needs some help finding a bakery to make their wedding cake.

Unfortunately, none of this mattered to Rachel Cryer or Laurel Bowman. These are the 2 "ladies" that decided to sue Sweet Cakes because they refused to make them a wedding cake. Now, wouldn't you think most people would just turn around, leave and go elsewhere to place their order? Apparently, these 2 ladies are just too damn stupid to realize there are other bakeries in the world that would be happy to take their business. Typically, businesses have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. I guess that's not true in Oregon. If you have a privately owned business, the government still gets to tell you how to run it. Sad, really...

While having a law to protect equality for people seems nice on the surface, it merely gives individuals protection from perceived discrimination while taking all protection away from private business owners. Not everyone is going to agree with the lifestyle you live. Why is it ok to force what you believe on someone else?

I understand that the lesbian couple wasn't forcing the bakery to participate in a gay relationship but they were attempting to force them to support it my demanding they make a cake for their gay wedding. This may seem like a stupid point to be arguing about, and it is, but this couple made this mountain out of a molehill by pursuing this ridiculous lawsuit. It became even worse when the court sided in favor of the lesbian couple.

In other news, the lesbian couple claims they "only wanted an apology". Yeah, we can tell since you demanded the lawsuit and the money. I'm sure they aren't going to donate it to charity to prove they aren't money hungry leeches but...that's none of my business, I guess. Their claims that they thought they were filing a BBB complaint and didn't know it was the department of justice website is either bull shit or just proves that they are the 2 dumbest idiots on the face of the planet.

We've become so concerned with offending those that are different that the folks that are still following the original ways of the founding fathers are treated as criminals. When will it stop? Heaven forbid you are a white, christian, conservative in the US today. You're held in more contempt than the gang bangers that run around killing each other for fun. I'm sure in many areas their idea of a terrorist looks just like the pictures below.

White, Conservative, Christian = Terrorist

This has to stop. We've taken tolerance to a whole new level and it's as extreme as these terrorist religions that are trying to kill us. Not everyone will like your lifestyle choices or agree with you. That doesn't mean they don't respect you or even like you. You can't always get your way. Get over it. Welcome to being an adult.

Hypocritical Discrimination

We've really become hypocrites when dealing with discrimination these days. It's ok to run your business the way you want...unless you happen to upset someone that is different from you.

A christian baker refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding and is sued, harassed and put out of business

A muslim truck driver refuses to deliver beer on religious grounds, is fired, sues the company...and wins.

Apparently, religious freedom doesn't go both ways...at least not if you're a christian. Sure seems like those that claim to be christian are getting the short end of the stick in these situations. You have to be tolerant and accepting of all other races, genders, sexual orientations, etc but they don't have to reciprocate.

What I find very disturbing about the bakery incident is the statement from the attorney on the case.
"At first blush, it may seem reasonable that a private business should be able to refuse service to anyone it chooses," Spence wrote. "This view, however, fails to take into account the cost to society and the hurt caused to persons who are denied service simply because of who they are."

Say what? "The cost to society and the hurt..." More proof that we've become a land of pansies that can't hand adulthood without someone there to soothe our egos if we even get a hint that someone doesn't like us.

Get over it butter cup! That's life. There are always going to be people that don't like you. Suck it up!

Why do we keep catering to these whiny ass people that want something for nothing? Grow a pair, get a job, take responsibility and stop the damn whining! Those of us that aren't offended by everything are sick of hearing it!

Racism, the equal opportunity hater

I'm so tired of hearing that "black people can't be racist". I'm even more sick of being lumped into the "white racist" category because of so called "white privilege". If someone could let me know when that's supposed to kick in, I'd appreciate it.

The definition of racism involves the belief that one race is superior to another. Don't even try to tell me there aren't people of all races that feel this way. Every time I read articles like this I get frustrated by the fact that people are so blind to what is going on around them every day.

It's race appropriation if I cornrow my hair but it's not for a woman of color to change her hair & eyes to look more like a caucasian woman? Why must we segregate everything into a racial category? The whole point of this melting pot we live in is to share cultures & such. To be open to the ways of others & accepting of the fact that we are all different.

Racism is the same...no matter what color your skin is. It can be directed at us all. How about we channel all this misdirected anger into learning, and practicing, acceptance?

It's not about gun control

I may sound like that insensitive prick that has no compassion after a tragic event. That's simply not true but I'm sick and tired of gun grabbers immediately turning these events into a call for more gun control.

I have no problem with background checks and such to ensure that's guns don't wind up in the hands of unstable folks. However, I'm not on board with some of the suggestions of these folks that are so afraid of guns that they think nobody should have them.

Criminals break laws. No amount of restrictions are going to stop bad guys from getting guns and creating havoc. All you'll do by outlawing guns is prevent law abiding citizens from protecting themselves when confronted with these lunatics.

You'll notice that nearly every mass shooting occurs in a "Gun Free Zone". Why do you suppose that is? Because criminals know there's nobody there to stop them before they cause a large amount of devastation. Putting up these signs is nothing more than an advertisement for the nut cases to attack.

What we need to fix is the people problem that has become apparent during the last 10-15 years. People have no respect for others or themselves. They believe life is disposable & care nothing for the feelings or needs of others.

Until we fix the people, the violence will continue.

If you hate it here so much...LEAVE!

It disgusts me that this desecration of the flag has become such a "trendy" things these days. Who are these people? And who are the thousands of people supporting this horrendous behavior and putting these vile creatures on a pedestal?

If you hate the US so much, why don't you just leave? There are plenty of other places that would gladly accept your distasteful ways. We are sick of seeing it here.

Desecration of the flag is shameful!

The threats against women must stop!

I don't know what is happening in the world these days but I'm seeing an alarming increase in the number of outspoken women who have become the target of death threats, or worse.

I don't give a flying rats ass if you agree with what they are doing or talking about...You have no right to threaten them with bodily harm or injury.

This woman has received some very colorful threats online that you can see in this article, all because she dared to speak out for what she believes. She didn't threaten anyone, she spoke of her experiences...And was attacked for it.

The "Texas Cheerleader" that hunts big game and posts pics of it has been consistently attacked online for weeks because of what she chooses to do. If any of these folks actually knew the details, they might think differently.

How about we stop being assholes and respect the opinions of others?

Lighten Up

I'm not one to get excited, or passionate, about things in my life. I can certainly understand that some folks do and they are very vocal about their beliefs. I have no problem with that as long as it doesn't infringe on my right to the pursuit of happiness!

That being said, there's a difference between being passionate and being a complete lunatic. It's a fine line but I feel that many people have crossed that line these days and it must stop. You can't sue people just because they don't agree with your beliefs. You can't sue people because the rules of an institution require you to do something that you don't really want to do. You can't sue people based on discrimination just because you didn't get something you wanted (job, home, etc).

In this Story, a family is suing the school because their atheist daughter has to say "under god" when they say the pledge in the morning.

Here's a thought...how about she refrain from saying the pledge at all or omit those 2 words if you agree with the rest of it?

Why are we using the school when they aren't the ones that wrote it in the first place? It's not like they have the authority to change it.

If the school was making her say the pledge each morning, then I could see the parents being outraged; however, it doesn't sound like that is the case. It sounds more like the kid has been saying it all this time and the parents are just looking for attention and maybe some money!

I'm so sick of people that look for discrimination in everything and will do anything to get money for nothing!

There will always be people that hate you for whatever reason. Unless it makes it impossible for you to go about your daily life, it's not worth stressing over! Suck it up, Move On, Don't be a Baby! This is the real world and it's time we learned to deal with it...without being an ass!

Ethnic Halloween costumes make me racist?

Wow, so I apparently opened up a huge can of worms by saying that I didn't think ethnic halloween costumes were racist as long as the wearer wasn't portraying the character in a demeaning light. If you want to see more, go to the Ask A Manager page. My comment is the 2nd on this post and I'm being attacked in a mass number of posts after. I was even called a "smug twit"! LOL

I love the post that basically calls me a racist for being accepting of the situation. People can stretch anything to make a scandal and I'm so sick of all the intolerance. I knew there were people that had strong opinions and probably wouldn't agree but I had no idea that they all read this Ask A Manager blog!

I guess if we want to be fair then we should not allow "non-white" people to buy costumes that portray white people as that could be considered "reverse racism". And what the heck is reverse racism anyway? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

There are always going to be people that hate you based on your race, sex, education, etc. Who cares? Let them hate, that is their problem and unless they act on it, it has nothing to do with you directly.

Stop giving power to those that want to be hate mongers, including the folks that felt the need to attack me for posting my opinion, which is what the website owner asked for.

Freedom of speech, but only if you agree with what the majority of the public think, eh?

Well, that's not how I live so if you don't like my opinion...move on! I'm not hurting you, I'm not defaming anyone and I'm not speaking ill of any other person, race or gender. Get over yourselves and find something to do that will actually benefit the world...instead of spreading more hate.

Stop the hate...live your life...move on

I can understand why people often boycott establishments because of the stance they take on certain issues; however, I can't help but think those that make negative remarks about Chik Fil A being against gay marriage are simply doing the same thing they accuse Chik Fil A of.

Everyone has a right to their personal beliefs & lifestyles, why can't we all just accept that we are different and leave each other alone? If you want to boycott the company because of the founders belief statement, go for it but you should respect their beliefs and not get nasty about it.

You want to be allowed to live the lifestyle of your choice, they deserve that right as well.

I'm not saying you have to agree with them, just stop bashing them because their beliefs differ from yours. There will always be someone that doesn't like something about each of us, don't let it consume your life. If it's not negatively impacting your constitutional rights, get over it.

People are too wrapped up in what other people think...live your life and let others live theirs. Don't stoop to the level of those that are hateful and intolerant.

Believe what you want and don't force your beliefs on others.

Again, just my opinion...if you offer yours, don't be an ass!

Thanks for visiting!
