Dear ALL People

Why are we so dead set on fighting each other? If you google "Dear White People" you'll find hundred of posts. All telling white people why the things we do are racist. Why we're responsible for all the hardships of every non-white person on the planet. How we should be ashamed of ourselves if we are successful because we must have walked on someone else to get there.

If you google "Dear Black People" you get all the other posts but only one that matches your search criteria. Not surprisingly, the article talks about a movie to counter "Dear White People" but immediately turns into a bash of the idea that anything white people say is valid. Tons of tweets about how the show should go. All of them suggesting that white people should apologize for existing, for being successful, and for the hardship of others.

I'm sick of it. Nobody alive in the US today was a slave or owned a slave. I'm not responsible for anything that was done in the past and nobody is due reparations for something that never happened to them.

If your life sucks, that's on you. You're an adult and it's time people start taking responsibility for their own actions. Get off your lazy asses and make something of yourself. Stop trying to live off the suffering of others that are no longer alive.

Yes, we ARE sick of the protests

Let me just say that I don't think it's necessarily white people that are against all this protesting garbage...it's conservatives....who happen to be primarily white.

What this writer fails to realize is that we've come to a point in society where so many liberals are protesting so much crap that a protest doesn't mean anything anymore.

A good portion of these "protestors" do nothing to help their cause. They are violent, aggressive and hateful. And when you attempt to ask them what they are protesting, they can't give you a straight answer.

Protests seem to be the "cool" thing to do and a large portion of the country is sick & tired of hearing about garbage that isn't true.

Trump is a fascist!
All conservatives are racist!
All cops are bad!

Just stop it!

Ever since the democrats lost they've been hell bent on tearing our country apart. The media will twist the truth so much that it starts more protests yet the folks attending don't even know what they are protesting against.

They blame Trump for everything, especially the racial divide but groups like black lives matter have done nothing put increase the division that Obama started during his terms at President.

If you really want to make a difference then do something other than take a knee or clash with other protestors that have different views.

We are sick of the whining about inequality. We are sick of your demands for safe spaces, special treatment and reparations. We are sick of it. We are all Americans so how about you stop acting like a bunch of spoiled brats and do something important?

We don't take you seriously anymore because all your protesting & whining has done nothing but cause more divide and anger in the country.

We get it! You're different! Get over yourself!

I'm all for being proud of who you are but why is everyone so hellbent on flaunting everything to the point of being obnoxious? And why is it ok to announce you're proud to be certain things but not others?

Gay people walk around in flamboyant attire with rainbows and such with verbiage on their shirts that announce to the world that they are, in fact, gay but get upset when people don't want to interact with them.

Black people flaunt it by chanting black lives matter and reacting to injustice with riots, violence and threats but get pissed when people call them thugs.

If a white person wears a shirt that says proud to be white or speaks out for the rights of anyone, they'd be labeled racist. Or, radical Christian Republicans.

Everyone claims they want to be treated the same...but they don't. People want to be treated better than everyone else because they feel they deserve it more.

Let me just lay it out now... Nobody is better than anyone else based on the color of their skin or their sexual orientation. You become better than others by being a better person, educating yourself, being sympathetic to others and not forcing your beliefs on others.

What many of these folks don't realize is that they had way more respect from others before they ever started demanding it. The methods used are offensive, in many cases, and trampling on the rights of others is no way to exercise yours.

We get it. You're "different"! We all are in some way and we all face some sort of discrimination in our lives. Your constant demand for attention to the slights you experience only make people dislike you more.

Learn to advocate like adults and not spoiled brats that didn't get a chance to play in the sandbox.

I'm offended that you're offended

So, the mom failed to follow the rules when erecting a headstone for her son. Another person brought it to the attention of the cemetery, yet they are being portrayed as the bad guys for "complaining".

Maybe people should learn to follow the rules and then they won't be inconvenienced by having to do things over the right way.

No, white people are not afraid of black people taking over

I love when people say that white folks are afraid of what blacks folks could do if they unite. Um, I don't see that ever happening and here's my response.

We're not afraid of black people uniting because you never will. Too many of you spend most of your lives fighting with each other and expecting a handout because of something that happened way before any of us were born. The world doesn't owe you anything. You have to work for it just like everyone else...oh, unless you're black because then you can take advantage of the NAACP, United Negro College Fund and hundreds of other organizations that are focused only on people of color.

You have so many opportunities to get ahead in the world, yet so many people refuse to try. Until we can stop the entitlement and get people to understand that life isn't fair or free, the racial divide will never close. And just because I'm white doesn't mean I'm racist. Just because I'm sick of black people threatening legal action, or violence, when they feel offended or held back doesn't make me racist.

You hold yourselves back by choosing to continue in this life of violence & poor decisions. You can have a better life but don't expect it to be handed to you. Every other race in the US works to achieve their dreams. Why should you be any different? And don't yell slavery...nobody alive today ever was a slave or owned slaves so get over the past and make your own future.

It's not racism...it's rules!

For fucks sake! Now the school is racist because they won't allow the black girls to ignore the dress code?

You're in high school & there's a dress code. They may accommodate for religious reasons but you don't get special treatment for cultural reasons. You can express yourself after school hours...on your own time.

High school is practice for real life. Dress codes exist everywhere. You can't show up to work in some sort of head scar if the dress code says they aren't allowed. It's not racist, it's the rules.

You're not being "denied the right" to embrace your culture. You're in high school. You really have no rights. That's the way it is. Suck it up!

Welcome to real life. It owes you nothing. You are not entitled to ignore the rules.

Hypocritical Discrimination

We've really become hypocrites when dealing with discrimination these days. It's ok to run your business the way you want...unless you happen to upset someone that is different from you.

A christian baker refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding and is sued, harassed and put out of business

A muslim truck driver refuses to deliver beer on religious grounds, is fired, sues the company...and wins.

Apparently, religious freedom doesn't go both ways...at least not if you're a christian. Sure seems like those that claim to be christian are getting the short end of the stick in these situations. You have to be tolerant and accepting of all other races, genders, sexual orientations, etc but they don't have to reciprocate.

What I find very disturbing about the bakery incident is the statement from the attorney on the case.
"At first blush, it may seem reasonable that a private business should be able to refuse service to anyone it chooses," Spence wrote. "This view, however, fails to take into account the cost to society and the hurt caused to persons who are denied service simply because of who they are."

Say what? "The cost to society and the hurt..." More proof that we've become a land of pansies that can't hand adulthood without someone there to soothe our egos if we even get a hint that someone doesn't like us.

Get over it butter cup! That's life. There are always going to be people that don't like you. Suck it up!

Why do we keep catering to these whiny ass people that want something for nothing? Grow a pair, get a job, take responsibility and stop the damn whining! Those of us that aren't offended by everything are sick of hearing it!
